Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions


Full payment is requested to confirm the booking, unless the course is booked more than 8 weeks in advance, in which case a 60% deposit is requested, with the balance payable 7 calendar days before the booking commencement date.

Deposits are non-refundable unless the booking is cancelled by William Hanson Ltd.

Payment can be made by via bank transfer or by secure online debit/credit card payment*. (Credit cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express.)

*Please note that we are unable to accept debit/credit card payments for bookings and engagements to begin within 16 calendar days from invoice date.

All payments received must be in British pounds.

Payment by direct bank transfer may be subject to additional administration fees, with all bank transfer fees to be settled by the client. To comply fully with UK anti-money laundering legislation, further information may be requested before bank transfers can be completed, including full details of payee account and, for larger payments (above £1,000), proof of ID may be required.

Cancellation fees: within two calendar months in advance: 55%, up to 2 weeks in advance: 75%, within 8 calendar days prior: 100%.

Postponement to a later date is considered on a case-by-case basis and is at the discretion of William Hanson Ltd. An amendment charge may be applied.

The course will be postponed by William Hanson Ltd should the client fail to complete and successfully submit the required registration form. No money will be returned but the course will be moved to a new date of mutual convenience; any additional venue or travel costs will be passed on directly to the client.

Any deposit or pre-payment made by William Hanson Ltd on behalf of a client to a chosen venue/supplier is subject to the venue/supplier’s terms and conditions and may not be refundable. If the terms and conditions of the venue/supplier necessitate a non-refundable deposit then the client will accept that their own deposit made to William Hanson Ltd may not be refundable.


Any costs incurred through damage or breakage to any venues, properties, belongings or equipment owned or sourced by William Hanson Ltd or affiliated companies will be covered by the responsible party.


Video or audio recording of any class, seminar or workshop is prohibited unless otherwise agreed. If permission has been granted, then it is understood that the footage/audio is used for personal use only and will not be used for commercial gain or appear on any media or social media.

Audio/Video Recording

William Hanson Ltd reserves the right to postpone any training due to industrial action, national mourning, ill health or any other unforeseen occurrence. We will make every best effort to inform the client in time.

Force Majeure

We ask all students to arrive for the time stipulated on the course welcome information, unless agreed otherwise. The tutor will leave and no refund will be offered for students who fail to show after 40 minutes without telephoning, texting or emailing to highlight their lateness.

Should a named tutor be unable to attend a booking due to sickness or a personal emergency, subject to availability, we provide a substitute tutor. Only if we are unable to provide a tutor will a refund be offered.

William Hanson Ltd also reserves the right to change or replace any modules on any of the listed courses; where possible students will be notified of these changes.

By submitting a registration form the client has accepted registration. Acceptance and registration constitutes a contract.
